What does a UniFi installer do?

A UniFi installer designs the network, runs the cable, mounts and configures the Ubiquiti equipment, and hands over a documented system. Ubiquiti runs a directory of installers it has certified for businesses that want local help with deployment and on-site support. Whoever installs your network is who you call when something needs hands.

Keep firmware current under change control, restrict who can reach the management interface, and back up the configuration. That matters because CVE-2026-34908, a CVSS 10.0 improper access control flaw in UniFi OS, was added to CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog on June 23, 2026.

Can you take over a network another installer set up?

Yes, whether it runs on UniFi or another platform. PDC starts with an assessment of admin accounts, firmware, segmentation, backups and documentation, then fixes what needs fixing and moves the network onto monitoring and scheduled updates. See managed UniFi support.

Do you also install UniFi cameras and door access?

Yes. PDC installs and administers UniFi Protect cameras and UniFi Access door control: setup, updates, user access and retention settings. PDC does not provide live video monitoring or alarm response.

What warranty comes with UniFi hardware?

Ubiquiti's warranty is two years when bought directly from the Ubiquiti webstore and one year when bought through an authorized distributor or reseller. PDC tells you where the hardware comes from and which warranty applies before you buy.
